This is advance notification that we will be
carrying out a number of software updates to the SLG platform on
Wednesday the 11th of November
We would like to apologise for the short notice but
these updates are an unexpected part of the Autumn SLG upgrade.
The complexity involved with applying these updates to our
multi-server infrastructure means we are unable to do them
overnight but we hope that by carrying them out late in the
afternoon the impact in school will be minimal. Should any
problems occur this will still give us time to implement a back out
plan in time for schools to use registrations the following morning.
If the upgrade is successful later in the evening we
will also be applying the Autumn Upgrade to the Sims
Learning Gateway platform.
The service will therefore be unavailable from
4pm on Wednesday the 11th of
November possibly until the following morning.
Please pass on this information to anyone it may
directly affect.
This does not mean you have to apply the Autumn
upgrade to SIMS in your school. We will notify you in the
normal manner when this has been released.
